NASA GODDARD'S MMO GAME

MMO Workshop - April 21, 2008 at the BWI Marriott

You are cordially invited to attend the NASA Massively Multiplayer Online Educational Game Workshop scheduled for April 21, 2008 at 9:00 AM ET at the BWI Airport Marriott, conveniently located adjacent to the Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.

NASA is sponsoring this briefing to provide interested development partners an opportunity to learn directly from NASA officials regarding the vision, goals, and expectations for the development of this MMO Educational Game. Participants will have an opportunity to hear NASA scientists and education officials speak on NASA’s vision for space exploration and how the Agency is planning to leverage an MMO Educational Game to enhance STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education efforts across the nation. Participants will also have the opportunity to register for a one-on-one session with NASA officials during the briefing session to discuss specific questions that they have in regard to the NASA MMO Educational Game RFP.

NASA is currently planning to publish a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) in advance of this briefing in April 2008 that will include specific requirements for a NASA Massively Multiplayer Online Educational Game. NASA's intent is to utilize a non- reimbursable Space Act Agreement as the legal mechanism for collaborating with organization(s) selected as a result of the RFP process.
